The Old Meeting House has been the hub of community life for more than two centuries. It has hosted church services, town meetings, weddings, concerts, festivals and other cultural events. Run by a volunteer board, the Old Meeting House holds events from May through October in the heart of Francestown. Concerts at the Francestown Meeting House include popular music, performances from the Electric Earth and Monadnock Music concert series and recitals.
The Old Meeting House was built in 1803 and has undergone rennovations and expansions through the mid-20th century. It became a non-profit organization charged with maintainence of the structure, historical integrity and role in community life in 1987. In 1999 the Meeting House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
